Temporary Protected Status
From time to time the U.S. government determines that citizens of a certain country cannot safely return to their country due to conditions in that country. Citizens of that country who are in the United States, and their spouse and children, if eligible, can apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). We can help you determine whether you are eligible for TPS, and assist you with the application process.
Visa waivers
There are a number of categories within the U.S. immigration statute that define reasons why an individual may not be admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa, or may not be eligible to permanently immigrate to the United States. However, the U.S. immigration statute also provides a waiver for some of these categories of inadmissibility, including
- J-1 visa waivers,
- waivers of the 3 or 10 bars to admissibility,
- waivers of certain health-related grounds of inadmissibility
- waivers of certain criminal-related grounds of inadmissibility
- waivers of inadmissibility due to false statements and misrepresentations
We can assist you in requesting a waiver of these grounds of inadmissibility if they apply to you or your family member or your employee.
